Sony VAIO NW Unboxed and Reviewed

Sony’s new VAIO NW has shown up on Endgadget, this laptop comes with a 2Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo P7350, 4GB of DDR2 RAM, 512 MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD4570, 400GB storage space and a lot more. To see a full hardware breakdown check out Engadget’s recent post head click here.

A gallery of the laptop being unboxed can now be seen on Engadget, from what we can see design wise the laptop is great, however there has been a wood texture “baked into the plastic” and apparently the stickers aren’t lined up properly. The VAIO NW also comes with the ultra quick booting Splashtop, which is basically a Linux based OS for basic web usage, you can see a video of it in action on Engadget.

The VAIO NW is expect to retail at $800, with a few different upgrade options available.

  1. This notebook looks great. Especially with Blue-ray drive and the price is reasonable.
