Sonos has finally launched its new touch-screen CR200 controller (specs here), this multi-room wireless music system with its 3.5-inch, 640 x 480 pixel touch screen is a scaled version of its bigger brother. The touchscreen has an on-screen keyboard allowing for fast control.
Engadget have been spending some time with the Sonos CR200 and decided to offer a full review of the device. The new model is much faster, smaller and more useful than the older CR100. The old model was good, but it was hampered from the start with a huge price tag, $399, plus another $49 for the cradle charger.
The new CR200 price is just $349 and that includes the cradle charger. For those who have never seen the Sonos CR200, then we can tell you that it looks a lot like a thick, portable media player. The device is very good at what it does, and that is control music in any room that has a Sonos ZonePlayer installed.
