Nokia N-Gage users getting carrier billing via Rogers Wireless
By: Peter Chubb | July 28, 2009 | Leave a CommentWhen Nokia had announced the new N-Gage, it had been planned to have carrier billing in as many countries as possible. As with all things, this has suffered a setback. It seems that these carriers were not keen on the idea, this means that in Canada and the U.S. you still have to enter your credit card details on your phone or via the N-Gage website.
According to symbian-guru.com, this is the same story with the recently launched Ovi store. It is not all bad news though, it seems that N-Gage and Rogers Wireless are now offering billing on the N-Gage gaming platform, so if you wish to purchase a game on your phone, this will now be added to your phone bill.
This is a big step for N-Gage; we just hope that other carriers will follow Rogers Wirelesses lead. There are reports that AT&T are about to support the Ovi Store on its Symbian smartphones, this will include the Surge and the E71x.
