Hands-on: ASUS O!Play HDP-R1 media player

Engadget Spanish recently received an ASUS O!Play HDP-R1 media player, this new device supports many different formats of HD video along with the standard video codecs that most modern media players support.
According to Engadget the player “supports a HD video playback in a multitude of codecs, including MPEG1/2/4, H.264, VC-1, and RM/RMVB in a multitude of packages including .mp4, .mov, .avi, .divx, and .mkv (and that’s not an exhaustive list by any means)”.
