ATI 2GB FirePro V8750 GPU: Only $1,800
By: Peter Chubb | July 28, 2009 | Leave a CommentATI have now launched the successor to its RV770, the 2GB FirePro V8750. There is one drawback though and that is the $1,800, some might say that is a cheap price to pay for a GPU offering this kind of spec. The graphics card uses 2GB of GDDR5 memory, which has been clocked at 900MHz.
HotHardware has been taking a closer look at the new card to see how it compares to the previous model, it is clear to see that not much has changed. As mentioned above, there are huge improvements to the memory capacity and speed, going from 1GB to 2GB.
Looking at some of the benchmarks results, it is clear to see that the new ATI 2GB FirePro V8750 GPU performs stronger than the V8700, but not big enough to warrant spending $1,800 on it. If you have the old card, you should stick with it.
