Apple iPhone 3GS Security: vulnerable says expert
By: Jamie Pert | July 28, 2009 | Leave a CommentThere is a new post on InformationWeek which reports that experts have found security vulnerabilities with the iPhone 3GS. One security expert has challenged Apple’s claim that the iPhone 3GS is secure enough for businesses, the security expert is an iPhone developer so it seems he is pointing out these vulnerabilities in an effort to show Apple where they are going wrong, rather than use the exploitations for his benefit.
The security expert Jonathon Zdziarski has posted two videos on YouTube, one of these videos shows how he can easily circumvent the iPhone security password, the other video shows how a raw disk image can be downloaded from the iPhone, which could contain personal data such as voice mail and email, even if it has been deleted.
Apple have not directly responded to these claims yet however you would think they would respond soon to give their opinion on the matter. To see the fully detailed article check out InformationWeek.
