Verizon’s 4G LTE: iPhone 2010 and Apple iTablet

Buzz This

Verizon are working very hard to try to get 20 to 40 markets ups and running with 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) network by the first quarter of 2010. TechCrunch reports that this timing will coincide with the release of the iTablet and the 4G iPhone.

In recent 4G tests, Verizon were hitting 60Mbps, as the network carrier is going with LTE, then the network should be able to work with AT&T and a host of other GSM carriers. This certainly seems too good to be true, we will just have to wait and see how this turns out.

It is no secret that users wish to have the iPhone on Verizon, but does this also include having the Apple iTablet on Verizon also? The iPhone Blog have been asking if you would be willing to wait to move over to Verizon with your iPhone once the carrier is using LTE.

yes–would and have been waiting for iphone to go over to verizon–guess i will wait till the fall to outfit the family with iphones and data plans—hopefully—just using voice on verizon now because i don't want to have to commit to any unproven phones, platforms, or fewer apps–come on apple help us out! its not like were not willing to give you the money, just make it possible

verizon may have the largest 3G network, but its nowhere as good as atts 3G. ive had both and i used to always have dropped calls, for the last 4 years ive been with att ive NEVER had one problem or issue with them. i can garauntee that IF apple moves on itll become a crap quality phone because the price will drop. hopefully apple at least keeps its quality and doesnt downgrade anything on the iphone

I do not agree with your statement as I live in Hawaii and ATT sucks! coverage is awful and the drop calls are a guarantee every time I talk on my work phone, which uses ATT. We have been begging our IT person to switch over to Verizon. My personal phone is with Verizon and I love Verizon and their excellent customer service!!!!!! I will be waiting to upgrade once they receive the go for the IPHONE with VERIZON!!!!!!!! ATT sorry, but that has been my experience with your network!
