Palm Pre gets cheaper at Best Buy

The latest news that Best Buy is offering the Palm Pre for just $99 is great news for those who are thinking of purchasing the Smartphone, but not for those who paid the full price when the Pre handset was first launched. This is something that we have come to expect from new launches.

There are a number of reasons why the Palm Pre has gone down in the price, the biggest reason is because since the launch of the iPhone 3G S, Apple have lowered the price of the older iPhone 3G model. This has certainly persuaded users not to look for something new.

BGR said that those who purchase a new Palm Pre on contract would now save $100, the great thing about the deal is that you will no longer have to deal with the mail-in-rebate. BGR are not certain if the new $99.99 will remain permanent, but we certainly hope so.
