Microsoft gives Windows 7 RTM code to OEM partners
By: Alan Ng | July 27, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt has been reported that original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) have finally picked up their RTM code from Microsoft for Windows 7. A handful of OEMs were personally invited to Redmond to pick up their codes and pose for a picture in the process.
As reported from the WindowsTeamBlog, OEMs such as HP, Lenovo, Sony, Toshiba, Dell, Acer and Asus had the chance to go down to Redmond and recieve their code from Microsoft personally.
Now that they have the code, the OEMs can now start preparing their systems with Windows 7 in readiness for the October 22nd release date.
