IPhone 3GS Screen Problems
By: Jamie Pert | July 27, 2009 | 6 CommentsAccording to an article on IntoMobile it seems that there is an issue with quite a few users iPhone 3GS’s, to see the original article click here, personally I feel the compliant is quite petty.
The issue is related to the flushness of the touchscreen, according Ben Robinson who wrote the article on IntoMobile if you “hold the 3GS in the palm of one of your hands, take the thumbnail of your other hand and gently run in from the centre of the screen outwards toward the bezel, see if your thumbnail slips off from the glass over the bezel, or if it catches on the bezel”, when Ben does this apparently his thumbnail catches on the bezel, this shows that the screen is higher on one side than the other.
As I mentioned above it is quite a petty complaint, however if this indicates that it is not a flush mount between the screen and the bezel it could allow dirt and liquids to seep into the device. It seems as if this is the case for a lot of iPhone 3GS’s, and a surprise considering Apple’s usually faultless build quality.
