Hulu Video-on-demand: UK release
By: Peter Chubb | July 27, 2009 | Leave a CommentThose of you in the UK have been seeing the success of Hulu Video-on-demand in the US for some time now; more than 24 million users use this service each month. Hulu has been in talks recently and it looks as though the service could be making its way across the Atlantic. Hulu is already available on the Sony PS3 and has seen huge success so far.
According to the Telegraph, those who use the Hulu video-on-demand service are able to watch episodes and clips of TV programs as well as films from a number of different TV broadcasters on the Internet. UK TV stations, ITV and Channel 4 had tried to launch its own service, Project Kangaroo, but that as we know failed in its early stages.
Hulu understands that there is still a huge gap in the market for this kind of service, which is why they are now looking to bring the service over to the UK. The UK version of Hulu will bring with it a number of US content, something that UK customers will be thankful for as they do not have nothing like the service that US users take for granted.
