ASUS Eee PC 1004DN Netbook

Asus have now began shipping the EEE PC 1004DN netbook, however at the moment it is only available in Taiwan, the retail price of the netbook is approximately the equivalent of $608, no official release date has been announced for its US release however I cant imagine it being too long.

The one thing that sets this netbook apart form many of its competitors is the fact that it has an internal CD/DVD burner and also it has a fingerprint scanner. Apart from this it has an Intel Atom N280 processor, 1GB RAM, it has an Intel GN40 chipset and X4500M graphics. The screen is a 10.2 inch display which supports a resolution of 1024 x 600, it has built in WiFi and Bluetooth along with an ExpressCard 34 slot and a 6 cell battery.

Most reviews have came back quite favorably especially when reviewing its ergonomic design, however one disappointing thing is that the hard disk speed is only 4200rpm. Check out liliputing for the original article, and InsideHW for a full review.
