4G iPhone in 2010: Would you want it?
By: Peter Chubb | July 27, 2009 | 5 CommentsCarrying on from our recent article that Verizon could get the iPhone 4G and the iTablet, we have to wonder if people are thinking about the 2010 iPhone, as we have only just taken in the new iPhone 3G S. There are no confirmed reports that Apple will launch a 4G iPhone in 2010, but we know that they are already working on one. What would your wish list be?
Over the past three years, Apple has launched a new iPhone, so why would the fourth year be any different. The iPhone 3G S is now behind us, this is when all the rumors of a 4G iPhone move up a gear. There had been rumors that Apple could go against its recent yearly cycle of a new iPhone and offer one by the end of the year, but we do not see that happening.
Those in the world of technology including us all knew that the iPhone 3G S was the third generation iPhone, as a result we were all calling it the iPhone 4G. Cnet have now decided to call the 3GS the iPhone 3.5G.
We know that the iPhone 4G will offer faster mobile broadband speeds, but the strange thing is, the new iPhone 3G S supports speeds up to 7.2, but we are still only getting speeds of 3.6. We have to wonder if and when Apple offer a 4G iPhone, will the networks be able to offer us the service.
