An interesting article has now emerged on Slashed, the article basically looks into the possibility of having professional gamers competing in the Olympic games, to see their article click here.
According to the article, during the photo-shoot for the cover of Sega’s 2010 Olympic Games Wired.com asked the athletes whether or not they thought that professional gaming should have its place in the Olympic games, to be honest the response was quite mixed, most enthusiastic responses came back from the athletes who actually play video games.
Personally I do not feel gaming should be in the Olympics, mainly due to the fact that Olympic champions have sacrificed so much in life to reach the level they are at, whereas although professional gamers have sacrificed a lot it is not quite comparable.
Do you think the Olympic Games should include gaming?

I have to agree with you, Jamie. I think those video games like World of Warcraft or Everquest should just remain on game tournaments. Yeah, gaming is definitely a sport, you have to spend a lot time with it, where hand-eye coordination and strategy are required to be good at it. But…it certainly does not belong to the physical domain just like those sports that are present on Olympic games.
greetings! yeah I agree with that…video games does not fit to Olympic games..
