With the recent announcement of Google’s Chrome OS and also Google Apps no longer being beta a lot of experts were also expecting an announcement regarding the rumored GDrive, the GDrive has never been confirmed by Google however with such speculation it is hard to imagine the rumor has no truth to it.
The basic idea of the Gdrive is to create an online storage service which easily synchronizes with your PC, obviously this service needs to be hassle free and reliable. The reason this is so important for Chrome OS is because of its cloud-computing functionality, obviously if there is no simple and reliable central storage area for your files cloud-computing isn’t going to work.
