Olympus today announced a few new digital camera’s for their FE and mju ranges, there are three new cameras in the FE range, they are the FE-5020, the FE-4000 and the FE-26 and one new camera in the mju range, the mju 7010. All of these cameras should be available sometime in August.
All three of the ‘FE’ cameras are very similar, they all have a 12 megapixel camera with a 2.7 inch display, along with this they all support face tracking, intelligent auto mode and accept both Xd and microSD cards. The major difference between the three models is the differences in lens sizes, the FE-5020 has an impressive 5x super wide optical zoom, the FE-4000 has a 4x wide optical zoom, and the FE-26 has a 3x optical zoom.
The mju 7010 is very similar to the FE cameras we just mentioned, it also has a 12 megapixel camera, 2.7 inch display and supports face tracking and intelligent auto mode, however this model has a 7 x optical zoom. This camera is expected to retail at around $400.
