HTC & Android: Strong future ahead
By: Jamie Pert | July 22, 2009 | Leave a CommentAccording to a report on Engadget it seems that HTC plan to release 50 percent of its handsets in 2010 on Google’s Android OS, this is bad news for Microsoft who currently supply the OS for most HTC handsets. Currently HTC have 28 handsets on its European website 2 of which run Android. The news probably comes as a result of the success of the HTC Hero, which runs Android.
According to other sources HTC are planning to release a wide range of handsets running Android before 2010, apparently as many as 15-20 new handsets, if all of these rumors turn out to be true this is absolutely huge for Android, we will keep you posted as more details emerge.
