Firefox 3.0: New update
By: Jamie Pert | July 22, 2009
For those of you who have decided against updating from Mozilla Firefox 3.0 to 3.5, Mozilla yesterday patched 11 security vulnerabilities, 10 of these were said to be critical. This is the first update for Firefox 3.0 since the release of Firefox 3.5, this follows the Firefox 3.5.1 update that was released a few days ago.
Of these 11 security vulnerabilities 8 were already patched in Mozilla 3.5.1, it is not known how long Mozilla will keep updating Mozilla 3.0, so in the long run it will be worth updating to Firefox 3.5.1, some suggestions seem to think support for Firefox 3.0 wil end in January 2010.
If you are running Firefox 3.0 and want to be patched for the new security vulnerabilities either head over to Mozilla here, or go to help check for updates, Mozilla should automatically update soon if you don’t do it beforehand.
