Windows 7 will run on a Netbook: Something Vista could not

Following on from our post yesterday that Windows 7 has a bleak netbook future, Microsoft had said that they would provide a basic version of Windows 7 so that it can run three applications at once on a netbook. Microsoft have since changed its mind, they have now announced that recent improvements to Windows 7 will now mean no limitations to running the new OS on netbooks, something that Vista could not.
ITworld have been asking themselves if Windows Vista bogged down a netbook, then would Windows 7 be any better. It is often hard to believe what Microsoft tell us, but we have to believe them this time, as it is no secret that Windows 7 uses far less resources than Vista did. Although we do have to remember that we are in a beta period and Microsoft have often been wrong.
Netbooks users are hoping that Windows 7 will run on their devices and run fast, but they are not getting their hopes up. Normally when a new Windows operating system comes out, it is never faster than its predecessor, let us hope that Windows 7 is an exception to that rule.
