Lately we have announced a lot of new netbooks, however they all end up being pretty much the same specification, Point of View’s Mobii ION 230 has broken the mould offering both a vibrant design with great netbook performance.
The main feature that sets this apart from other netbooks is that it runs on NVIDIA’s Ion platform, while this is not great for battery life, it is great for 1080p playback and will perform better when running graphically intensive tasks (this does not mean its capable of high end gaming).
The netbook runs an Atom N230 processor, 1GB of RAM (upgradeable) and a 160GB hard disk drive, the screen is 10.2 inches and displays a 1024 x 600 resolution, there is also a HDMI-out port to output your 1080p video.
No official price has been announced yet however it is expected to sell at around $495, it should be available within the next few weeks. Check out the original article on Engadget.
