We reported that the Nokia Surge was to launch on AT&T on July 19, that date has been and gone and Nokia are now going to offer the phone to Europe and Asia in Q3. The price for the phone will be 200 EUR ($285) and will come with a new name, the Nokia 6760 Slide.
Not much will change from the Surge feature list, but one major difference with the new 6760 Slide is its 3.2-megapixel camera instead of a 2-megapixel camera. IntoMobile is not convinced about the camera upgrade, so are looking for confirmation of this.
The new Nokia 6760 Slide has a 2.4-inch screen with a resolution of 320 x 240. The handset runs on Symbian S60 version 3.2 and comes with a host of cool features. The one downside to the handset is its looks; come on it is not the best-looking cell phone on the market.
