IPod Touch: Coming with Camera and Microphone?

According to a report on IntoMobile it seems that when the new iPod Touch is released it will have a built in microphone and camera, if this is the case it will allow the device to be used for voice-over-IP communication, Skype can currently be used via an inline microphone, however with a built in mic it may become more popular.

It is thought that Apple have decided to add a microphone to offer an alternative to network carriers offering Skype handsets, these Skype handsets may have caused lower sales of the iPhone, therefore it seems like Apple are trying to win back some custom.
