
Intel: Core i5 and i7 releases in September
By: Jamie Pert | July 21, 2009 | Leave a CommentAccording to a report shown on SlashGear it seems that Intel will be releasing their first Core I5 processor on September 6th, also on this date we should see the release of two new Core i7 chips.
According to motherboard manufacturers Intel will be releasing the Core i5-750, Core i7-860 and Core i7-870 in early September, these quad core chips will have clock-speeds of 2.66Ghz, 2.8Ghz and 2.93Ghz. The Core i5 will have an 8MB L3 cache and will use the LGA 1156 socket. These chips are also easily overclockable allowing up to a clock speed of 3.46Ghz per core.
