BlackBerry Desktop Software coming to Mac
By: Peter Chubb | July 21, 2009 | Leave a CommentFor those of you who happen to own a BlackBerry handset and a Mac, you will know that you have never been able to sync your BlackBerry content with your Mac without the use of third party programs. RIM understands the frustration from BlackBerry users, which is why the company has announced the launch of a new version of BlackBerry Desktop for the Mac.
RIM said that they would launch the new software in September 2009; this will certainly make things much simpler for Mac users to synchronize their content with a BlackBerry. Mac users will be able to sync their calendar, contacts, notes, iTunes playlists and much more to their BlackBerry handsets.
That is the good news; the bad news is that the OS support is only for Mac OS X versions 10.5.5 and above. Techtree.com informs us that for older versions, they are afraid that you will have to continue to use third party software.
