Slacker on the Verizon BlackBerry Storm

BlackBerry Storms on the Verizon Wireless network will soon receive a new icon on their home screens, this icon will appear automatically as it is installed over the air. The icon is for Slacker Radio and has emerged following a recent deal between the two companies. Slacker was already available for the BlackBerry however this icon will hopefully increase demand for the service.

For those of you who don’t know what Slacker is it is basically an Internet radio provider which allows custom streams to be listened to on your handset, computer or Slacker Portable device, it is available free of charge however supported by advertising and there is limited functionality, however if you are a paying customer there are no ads and a lot more functionality.

  1. Slacker? It needs a new name, first of all.
