
Google Operating System central to company’s strategy
By: Peter Chubb | July 17, 2009 | Leave a CommentGoogle’s CEO Eric Schmidt has said that its business has now stabilized and he has reported that consumers are now searching more. Schmidt also added that the launch of the Google Chrome operating system is central to company’s strategy.
According to Information Week, Google have reported better results than expected, this is the same story with Intel, they too have had better results than Wall Street had predicted. Google have since seen a slight drop in its shares in after-hours trading.
On Thursday, Google had announced its Q2 2009 revenue of $5.52 billion, which was 3 percent more than the same period in 2008. Analysts were expecting Google to announce revenue of $5.49 billion for the second quarter of 2009.
