We recently reported to you about the PSP Go Store planning to model itself on the Apple App Store, but now we have much clearer details on the news for you now. Sony have confirmed the PSP Go App store, which will also contain plenty of non-game related apps.
As reported from VG47, Sony confirmed the news recently and revealed that they already have 50 studios working on games and apps for the new project. Looks as if Sony are hoping the PSP Go will appeal to a much broader audience and the announcement of a standalone app store looks to have justified this further.
A statement from Sony reads: “We’re introducing new initiatives for the PSP which take it beyond traditional gaming, but still includes elements from gaming, and also includes new developers,”

Nothing wrong with realising that someone is doing it better and copying their business-model… as long as they:
1) Give it a nod
2) Bring something special/unique to their own interpretation of it
Either way, they simply MUST hammer down the price of the PSP hardware itself.
