We have another article for you to read now, which discusses the delay of some exclusive titles that were expected on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 before the end of this year, with the results making for an interesting debate.
As ps3thevolution reports, the playing field between the Xbox 360 and PS3 seems to have evened up after a host of PS3 exclusive titles have now been delayed until 2010. Some of these include God Of War III, White Knight Chronicles and Heavy Rain, while multi-platform titles such as Bioshock 2 and Max Payne are now expected sometime in 2010 for 360 and PS3.
There is even talk of 256 player title MAG being delayed until 2010 as well, but Sony have yet to confirm anything yet. Others have said that Sony have planned the delays to ensure that they have a solid lineup to compete with the likes of Halo: Reach and Alan Wake.

There should be a distinction between delayed and rescheduled - some of these titles have been rescheduled to avoid the busy christmas period that will be bloated by 3rd party big hitters like Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2, the EA Sports sequels etc. This also gives more time to polish them - just like KillZone 2 was moved to March 2009 to avoid an unnessary 2008 fight for sales against Resistance 2 and World at War.
Why play all your cards at once when you don’t have to? Why release first party content together so it ends up competing with each other and competing with the big 3rd party titles.
Microsoft’s lineup of big exclusive titles in the run up to Christmas is a little shakey - and frankly Uncharted 2 on it’s own will be enough to blow them out of the water - so why not reschedule the others for less crowded periods where they will have the space to sell well - and divert attention from any 360 exclusives MS have planned for 2010 like Alan Wake…
God of War III was never scheduled to release in 2009 so it’s not delayed.
I think there’s a few others that are 2010 release as well that were never stated as 2009 release but seem to be taggeds as “delayed”.
Yet more spurious information flitting around the internet…no suprise.
you think uncharted 2 will beat halo. uncharted does look great, almost makes me wanna buy the system for it, but not even a chance. you ps3 fanasses.
I mean come on. Halo or Uncharted? That’s Halo hands down. The game is just better overall.
halo suck ass and xbox has alot of games but if u think about it gamestop get way more trades from xbox 360 owners then ps3 and its really that everyone thinks halo and other games are cool and when they buy them they are disappointed and trade them to game stop so u cant even go there and say 360 beats ps3 its all about what ppl like i hate halo but gears or war is cool i have 360 and wii and ps3 i like them all for diff reasons i like the wii’s controls and i like the ps3 i like how it comes together and u can upgrade it and i like how u can use more items for the ps3 then xbox but i like 360 cuz they fucking pay every game they can so i have the best of all 3 worlds so think before u say something ppl have diff reasons for liking some thing u cant just come out and say halo is better then something u sound stupid.
You realise your being an Xbox fanass? He was comparing uncharted and alan wake, NOT Halo or even ODST. Fanass.
You all need to stop stating opinion as fact and take the GAMES for what they are. I personally would prefer to play Uncharted 2 over Halo 2 since the genre bores me now. The fact your so diehard about a game when (I’ll assume) you haven’t played Uncharted says alot about the type of ‘fan’ you are.
It sucks when a title you really want gets delayed, but these days there are too many unfinished games. I am actually happy that game developers are finishing their products. I’d rather play a finished game later than an unfinished game now.
I have to agree. We have enough games coming out on both systems to satisfy most appetites… so let the game companies tweak them to perfection and drip feed us slowly throughout any calendar year. God knows Summer is usually shockingly low-quality. *shakes fist at Sun*
Personally, I don’t doubt Halo will outsell most games (the upcoming title) but that’s just a numbers game. I feel that Uncharted 2 will be the better title, if that makes sense.
