Google Voice app for BlackBerry and Android
By: Jamie Pert | July 16, 2009 | Leave a CommentFollowing the recent release of Google Voice, Google have now announced that the service is available via BlackBerry and Android smartphones. The new applications completely integrate with the handsets which then allow users to make calls and send SMS with a Google Voice number.
To get hold of Google Voice on your BlackBerry you must go to m.google.com/voice, whereas Android users can just find the application in the Android market, you will also require a Google Voice account, which at the moment is still on an invitation only basis.
No indication has yet been made as to when other handsets such as the Palm Pre and iPhone will have compatible software released; I would imagine Google wouldn’t leave it too long.
