Counter-Strike v1.6 Update: Download on Steam

Good news for all you Counter-Strike 1.6 addicts out there, as Valve have just released a small update to the classic shooter. It’s now available to download next time you boot up your game.
As reported from Examiner, the update is only a small one and contains a few new additions to the Half Life engine. On a side note, Valve has also added a new feature to Condition Zero, one of the series’ various add-on games.
As written by Valve, here are the official update notes:
Half-Life Engine
- Added -sys_ticrate command line option to allowed forced override of ticrate
- Prevent more cases of server redirection
Counter-Strike/Condition Zero
- Added -nobots option to allow forced override of bots on servers

The mechanics of the PC version have been ported over intact, though the Xbox version is not quite as smooth or as responsive as what you could get from a half-decent PC.
