Apple: Microsoft stop Laptop Hunters ads

Microsoft have revealed that Apple wanted the company to take down their Laptop Hunter ads, that went out live recently. Kevin Turner, Microsoft’s Chief Operating Officer revealed the news recently at the Worldwide Partner Conference.

According to ArsTechnica, Turner was talking about how Microsoft were planning to open up a few new stores close to where Apple have their own stores.

Hear is the conversation between the two employees from Turner himself:

Because two weeks ago we got a call from the Apple legal department saying, hey — this is a true story — saying, “Hey, you need to stop running those ads, we lowered our prices.” They took like $100 off or something. It was the greatest single phone call in the history that I’ve ever taken in business.

Have you managed to watch the ads? If so, what are your impressions of them? Full article over at Ars.
