More news on the BioShock 2 delay now, as analysts have said that they have seen a ’silver lining’ with Take-Two’s decision to hold back the game untill early 2010. The delay will affect all versions (Xbox 360, PS3 and PC) of the game.
According to this GamaSutra article, many analysts feel that the delay will mean the company having a stronger lineup next year. Most of their comments came after Take-Two confirmed that the next Grand Theft Auto game is already in development.
Wedbush Morgan’s Michael Pachter had this to say on the news: “The silver lining in yesterday’s cloud is the fact that next year’s lineup just became significantly stronger.” He also believes that Take-Two will be able to generate year over year sales of 12 to 15 million units, if every one of their games sells over 2 million copies.
