
Samsung SMX-K45 and SMX-K40 camcorders
By: Jamie Pert | July 15, 2009 | Leave a CommentTwo of Samsungs newest camcorders are the Samsung SMX-K40 and the Samsung SMX-K45, they are both very similar however the K40 requires you to supply a memory card for storage, whereas the K45 comes with an internal 32GB Solid State Disk.
Both camcorders capture video at a resolution of 720 x 480, and they both support HD upscaling, along with this both devices have a massive 65x optical zoom. The camcorders also have the Optical Image Stabilizer and have a 2.7” LCD. You can charge the devices via USB and they also have a upload-to-YouTube function.
No hands-on reveiws have emerged yet so it is hard to say whether the camcorder will be successful, as more details emerge we will keep you posted.
The camcorders will be available sometime in August and they have retail prices of $329.99 for the K40 and $499.99 for the K45, check out the full details by heading over to Engadget.
