Palm Pre Apps: Developers organize meetings

On Monday earlier this week a group of around 80 developers met to discuss and rectify the lack of applications currently available for the Palm Pre, currently there are only a few dozen applications compared to its competitors thousands of applications, this is largely due to the lack of SDK.

The meeting was the first large public gathering of Palm Pre developers, the meeting was set up by web development firm BlueSwitch, who now hope to hold a monthly meeting.

Although no applications were announced a lot of important issues such as the Software Developemnt Kits were discussed, developers also discussed how they would make money given that Palm Pre’s apps are all currently free.
