It has been revealed that the latest iPhone 3.1 Beta has disabled tethering hacks for AT&T customers in the U.S. The beta version 2 was released to developers last night with everyone eager to find out any hidden features within 3.1.
As reported from MacRumors, the news of no more tethering hacks is surely going to be a disappointment to many of you. For those of you who are unaware, tethering allows users to share your iPhone’s wireless internet connection with your laptop via USB or Bluetooth.
After 3.0 firmware was released though, hacks started to appear, allowing AT&T users to unofficially enable tethering on their iPhones. Looks like Apple have put a stop to the fun, for now anyway.

Teathering DOES work! It has yet to be resolved. If you go to help.benm.at from your iPhone you can install the teathering profile
