Upcoming Android Patch Updates: Focused on Social Networking
By: Jamie Pert | July 14, 2009 | Leave a CommentAccording to Google’s Vice President of Engineering Andy Rubin, one of Google Android OS 2.0’s main concentrations will be to plug into social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, Linked In and MySpace.
Exact details on how they intend to do this are not yet confirmed, however they did mention pulling caller ID photos from Facebook profile pictures (this can already be accomplished on other handsets).
Another addition to Android OS 2.0 is said to be an alternative to Google Checkout, this will allow people to buy applications and add the cost to the customers next phone bill.
Andy Rubin also said that one manufacturer is planning to release of 15-20 Android handsets before the end of the year.

Which manufacturer do you think will be releasing all of these Android handsets?
