More Google Chrome OS Screenshots: Allegedly
By: Peter Chubb | July 14, 2009 | Leave a CommentWe have covered a number of stories regarding the recently announced Google Chrome OS. The latest news comes from Engadget; they state that these are allegedly some screenshots of the new operating system. There are eight shots for you to see, which you can view here.
There is a good chance that these images are fake, but we thought you would want to know about them. Engadget’s source said that although most of the apps are online, they did point out that Picasa would run locally for viewing movies and photos.
You will also notice in one of the screenshots that the System tab is displaying the contents from an SD card and digital camera. Upon further look, Engadget are certain that these shots are fake and can easily be mocked up. These are not the first and they will not be the last.
