Microsoft denies Windows 7 release to manufacturing rumors
By: Jamie Pert | July 14, 2009 | Leave a CommentYou may have read our post yesterday regarding Windows 7 build 7600, at the time we thought that due to the significant jump in build numbers Microsoft would announce this version as the RTM. Well late yesterday Microsoft squashed these rumors.
Brandon LeBlanc who is one of Microsoft’s spokesmen is quoted as saying “As previously stated, we expect Windows 7 to RTM in the 2nd half of July”. Also during his statement he recommended that users do not download in-progress builds that have leaked onto the Internet as they often contain infections.
Microsoft still haven’t announced an official release date for the RTM, as soon as we hear something we will let you know, all we do know is that it will be in the last two weeks of July.
