Intel Core i7 (Clarksfield): Laptop CPU to release in September

It has been reported that Intel have updated their launch schedule for a series of new CPUs. These include notebook-based Clarksfield CPUs, desktop-based Lynnfield CPUs and new CPUs for ultra-thin notebooks.

That’s according to this article from DigiTimes, who have stated that the new models could be released as early as September. To break each one up separately, the Clarkfield CPUs consist of the Core 2 Extreme XE 2GHz, Core 2 Quad P2 1.73GHz and Core 2 Quad P1 1.6GHz.

It has also been revealed that Intel are planning to release new Xeon CPUs sometime in August, although Intel declined to comment on these rumors.
