Nokia Interface Patent: gestures as commands

Nokia have submitted a new patent application, although at the moment the patent may seem a bit far-fetched it may be an indication of what future handsets may offer.

To simplify the concept it seems that Nokia want a fabric that the user wears, within this fabric will be many different sensors which will pick up on certain gestures and in-turn send a wireless signal to the handset.

This concept would be able to be used in many different technologies which could include games console and other electronics, obviously this is all a long way of but may be something used in day to day tasks in the future.

Check out the original article on Pocket-Lint, and if you would like a more detailed look head over to UnwiredView, which also includes links to the patent applications.

Do you feel this technology will ever be used with Nokia handsets?
