Mobile banking taking off thanks to smartphones and 3G
By: Jamie Pert | July 13, 2009 | Leave a CommentDue to the recent success of smartphones on 3G networks mobile banking is getting more and more popular, this has been achieved by ever improving mobile applications and also the higher percentage of people now using smartphones.
Of all people using mobile banking 31 percent of the usage occurs on their smartphones at home, 25 percent of the usage occurs whilst running errands and the rest of the usage occurred while commuting, working, vacations and business travel..
It now seems a lot easier for people to quickly check their bank accounts via their smartphone rather then having to wait for their PC’s to boot up, however due to the coverage not being great in some areas this is not always possible.
