
Google Chrome vs. Microsoft Bing vs. the user
By: Peter Chubb | July 13, 2009 | Leave a CommentIt is no secret that Google and Microsoft are in a constant battle with each other; this could be seen last week after Google announced that it was going into the operating system market with Google Chrome OS. To many this is seen as retaliation since Microsoft launched the Bing search engine to try to compete with Google.
The New York Times has already commented that this war started back when Google launched is Chrome browser as a direct attack on Microsoft’s Internet Explorer, who currently has the market share, although this is now decreasing.
Another instant of this constant war with Google and Microsoft is Google’s attack on Windows Mobile with the launch of its own mobile OS, Android. For a while now it has looked as though Microsoft has not had an answer for Google, but to many Bing is seen as a true contender in the fight against the Google search engine.
