Ericsson has been busy lately, first we announced their new deal with Sprint and now we have learned that Ericsson has signed a new deal with China Mobile and China Unicom. The deal is to do with agreements on 2G/3G mobile communication equipment; the deal is thought to be worth $1 billion for China Mobile and $700,000,000 for China Unicom.
Both China Mobile and China Unicom have now received its 3G licenses of TD-SCDMA and WCDMA standards at the start of 2009. The two companies are now serving more than 620 million mobile subscribers in China.
This recently signed deal will allow the two operators to improve their capacity and performance on its 2G networks, as well as speed up its build-up of their 3G networks. IntoMobile informs us that this deal will offer a richer service to China Mobile and China Unicom customers.
