Xbox 360’s Natal for Christmas 2009

While most of us are thinking that Project Natal won’t arrive until at least 2010, a recent report has suggested that Project Natal could be on the way to the Xbox 360 as early as this Christmas.

Thats according to XboxKings, who have provided us with a number of reasons why they think Microsoft’s motion-sensing kit could come so soon. They point out the fact that at E3, Microsoft stated that Project Natal dev kits have already been shipped out to the ‘most important developers.’

Secondly, they say that current Xbox 360 games can be controlled with Project Natal, just by a simple patch update. What are your thoughts on their comments? Read the full article in the link above and let us know what you think.

I highly doubt this, and think that they need to look at the announcements again. Microsoft said that the had DEMOED Natal to TWO developers. These were Bunjie and Epic which are both first party Microsoft developers. Obviously since then they may have shipped some kits, but in a post announcement interview with Kudo Tsinuto with G4 he said that development still had a ways to go. This makes me skeptical.

I cant believe that nobody has asked what “NATAL” mean……. IT MEANS CHRISTMAS IN Portuguese!!!!!

  3. Pat says:

Natal is a city in Brazil. The primary originator of the project is from there and Microsoft named it after it.
