Symbian in process of going open source with packages

According to IntoMobile Symbian is now in the process of becoming open source, they are said to releasing the open source software in packages. To receive the open source software you have to register for a free account click here.
The first package they will be releasing will be the OS Security package, this package contains many different security related functionality embedded within the OS.
Once this package has been released Symbian are said to be relasing more as time goes on eventually reaching their goal of becoming 100 percent open source some time in 2010.
