Silverlight 3.0 Review
By: Peter Chubb | July 10, 2009
Microsoft has finally released Silverlight 3.0, just less than a year before Silverlight 2.0 was launched. This latest update has a range of features, those of which are very important, as they need to tempt developers away from other flash programs.
We mentioned this morning about the size of each download and if you wish to have increased support for hardware-based graphics acceleration, then you had better get downloading now. PC Pro explains that Microsoft have done something different with Silverlight 3.0 and that is for greater browser integration, as well as being able to convert images into three dimensions.
PC Adviser has been spending some time with this new piece of software and has offered an in-depth review. Their verdict is simple, they do not think for one moment that Silverlight 3.0 will take the place of such proven software as Flash, Flex, and AIR.
