Developers and analysts are stating that the announcement of Google Chrome OS raises questions on the limitations of the Android mobile OS, which could in turn mean a bleak future for Android. Google however state that they are two completely separate projects and have no intentions of phasing out Android.
Originally it was thought that Google Android would be a platform ran on devices from phones to netbooks, however now with the release of Google Chrome OS announced there does seem to be an overlap into what OS goes on what device. This seems to suggest that in the long run Android will not be ran on netbooks and laptops.
The main difference between the two project is that Google Chrome OS intends to put across a whole new way of thinking, by making the Internet browser the central part of the Operating environment.
