
Cheaper Android phones coming with RK2808 chipset
By: Alan Ng | July 10, 2009 | Leave a CommentRockchip Electronics have announced that they are planning to release a series of chips that will come equipped with the Android OS. They have also said that the RK2808 chipset will be a lot cheaper than some of the other chips already out on the market.
As reported from PMP News, the Android-ready chips are Rockchip Electronics’ main priority at the moment. Following on from the announcement of these chips, it is also thought that a phone powered by these RK2808 chips will be available around October this year.
You also might be interested that the company are planning to release a PMP with these chips sometime this month. We’ll let you know once they do.
