Apple OS Updates: iPhone and Mac
By: Peter Chubb | July 10, 2009 | Leave a CommentApple looks all set to launch face-detection on future updates of its iPhone and Mac OS, as Apple Insider reports that Apple has been filing patents with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Apple is also working on new ways to offer better quality video conferences via iChat.
This latest filling from Apple is a lot like its motion-based Mac OS X interface, but builds upon this further by allowing users in the future to passively interface with their Macs. Apple notes that there is one problem with our personal computers these days and that is not being able to perform certain operations that can accommodate the passive user.
There is also another problem with the conventional system and that is, that they are not able to determine which user has permission to perform certain functions. Apple would like to address the issue where users have to enter a password manually; one way would be this new face-detection software.
