While there is the small existance of 3D GPS navigation systems present, it has been reported that next year will be the year when the technology really takes off and 3D in-car GPS systems become a standard thing.

As reported from AutoBlog, GPS systems have really gone a lot further than just a basic route finder device. GPS sat navs are now able to view picture images, have MP3 support as standard and built in web browser and WiFi.
